Vision

Picture hundreds of thousands of aquatic species and tens of thousands of underwater habitats, beautiful works of art created by artists and developers all over the world, spread across the canvas of the World Wide Web as a globally shared art gallery.

And imagine hundreds of millions of people connected on the web - via phones, tablets, computers, at home, at school, in museums - with ocean life flowing from device to device across cities all over the globe - Honolulu, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai, Moscow, Dubai, Johannesburg, Madrid, Stockholm, Paris, London, New York, Sao Paolo, Los Angeles...

Everyone that much more aware of the Oceans, and everyone that much more aware of each other. Everyone taking a few moments out of their busy day to relax and resonate positively with the planet.

We're just getting started, and very much at the beginning of this journey... but with each user and artist that joins (and that's you), we take one step closer to realizing this mission. Together.

Wemo Media is a small team of developers and artists pioneering a new form of art and entertainment on the Web called "Maker Media". We are passionate about enabling artists and developers to co-create globally shared media experiences and storytelling. A question we ask ourselves is: Can the web be beautiful?

Wemo Media is a next generation digital studio assembling a world-class team comprised of Academy Award-winning artists, technology innovators and veteran execs from film, games and the web. Our core offering is the "Maker Media" Platform, a disruptive online creative collaboration platform enabling digital artists and developers around the world to peer-produce innovative digital media. We are taking a giant leap in making the Internet a medium for artistic expression and storytelling on an unprecedented scale.

We are currently in the germinating stages on our first Maker Media title, TheBlu - creating the ocean as an art and entertainment project on the web's social infrastructure. TheBlu is currently in private beta accessible at theblu.com.

Wemo Media is a funded startup based in Venice California, with a Maker community extending around the world.
